I graduated from UBC Vancouver in 2022 with a degree in Computer Science and Physics. I’m focused on learning new skills and building human-centered products. I have about 18 months of professional software engineering experience and I am looking for new roles.
About Me
Hello! My name is Abenezer(like Ebenezer). I enjoy creating apps and learning new programming skills. My interest in software development started back in 2015 when I decided to self-learn programming using MIT opencourse python course.
Fast-forward to today, and I’ve obtained a degree in Computer Sciene and Physics from UBC Vancouver . I have had the privilege of working as an associate software engineer at an IT Consulting company and intern at a research company. During my university career I have worked as TA for several courses and worked as a peer mentor. Recently, I have completed a full stack web development program at BrainStation Vancouver to further my skills in web development.

- Developed a shopping application leveraging Spring-boot for backend and Angular for frontend; optimized performance by reducing load time by 40% and increasing user engagement by 25% streamlining checkout process.
- Implemented a MEAN Stack project where I optimized an internal project assignment web application speed by 30%, increasing user engagement by 3.5X.
- Optimized and analyzed modules written in Java to implement better software engineering practices.
